Parents in Prayer

And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.”                                       1 John 5:14-15

Vision:  Our vision is that every child and family in our church and community would be covered with prayer.

Purpose:  Parenting is the most important responsibility an adult undertakes in life and the Church believes that parents are the primary educators of our children.  Parents/guardians sometimes carry heavy burdens for their children.  The purpose of Parents In Prayer (PIP) is to provide a safe environment where parents can share their concerns, prayer requests, and praise reports so that others might encourage them, pray for them and rejoice with them.  Parents in Prayer helps us to join together to specifically pray for the children in our lives that God has blessed us.  We pray that families, as a result, will be directed by biblical values and high moral standards.

PIP Desires to…

• reach out to parents/guardians of all ages

• give hope and provide peace as they cast their cares on the Lord.  Gathering together to pray brings encouragement and hope to weary and sometimes stressed parents/guardians

• teach faith … Parents/guardians will bring their children to the One who can do the impossible

• provide a safe, loving environment where parents/guardians share their burdens and can encourage one another through fellowship and relationships.

•be a supportive partner, building up the Body of Christ through prayer

• strengthen church ministries as parents/guardians become involved, the result will be children being prayed for in the church and community
